Miso Salted Caramel Porridge


Serves 2

  • 1 cup oats

  • 1 ½ cup water or preferred milk (or half-half)

  • 1 ripe banana, cut into coins and then quartered

  • 2tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tsp white miso paste

  • 2 Medjool dates or 6 Persian dates, chopped

  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
    Sesame seeds

    METHOD: Place oats, milk, water, half the banana, miso paste and dates in small saucepan. Heat over a medium heat, stirring for 5 minutes or until thickened and cooked. 
    Divide porridge into two serving bowls and top with remaining banana, an extraterrestrial splash of milk, a drizzle of honey and sesame seeds.
