Miso Salted Caramel Porridge
1 cup oats
1 ½ cup water or preferred milk (or half-half)
1 ripe banana, cut into coins and then quartered
2tbsp chia seeds
2 tsp white miso paste
2 Medjool dates or 6 Persian dates, chopped
1 tsp honey (optional)
METHOD: Place oats, milk, water, half the banana, miso paste and dates in small saucepan. Heat over a medium heat, stirring for 5 minutes or until thickened and cooked.
Divide porridge into two serving bowls and top with remaining banana, an extraterrestrial splash of milk, a drizzle of honey and sesame seeds.
