Seed Crackers w Hemp
Hemp seeds, also referred to as hemp hearts are technically a nut. They have a mild, nutty flavour, in my opinion, reminiscent of a pine nut combined with a sesame seed. They are a rich source of essential fatty acids, linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). Hemp hearts are also a great source of high-quality protein.

½ cup hemp seeds
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds
½ tsp salt
1 cup water
1. Preheat oven to 170C. Place all the seeds, salt and water in a bowl and mix to combine. Leave for 15 minutes (chia and flax will absorb the water and act like and egg to bind).
2. Spread out evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper, as thin as possible- approx. 4mm. Bake for 30 minutes.
3. Remove from the oven and cut into desired cracker size and flip to reverse side, return to oven and cook for a further 20-30 minutes, until golden and crispy.
4. Allow to cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.
