Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Chia seed puddings have been a long standing favourite in my household but it was only recently that I tried the ol' choc chia pud.  A chocolate pudding that's nourishing and can be eaten for breakfast or dessert? Yes please. This is such a simply recipe and can be adapted to suit different tastes. Try different toppings like granola, buckwheat, seasonal fruit, cocoa nibs, nut butters, nuts and seeds- the possibilities are endless.  Raw cocoa is so delicious and so nourishing- a genuine superfood packed with magnesium, antioxidants and iron. Yuummooo!

I say this about a lot of things, but chia seeds are a nutritional powerhouse!  Chia seeds make the perfect base for a nutritious breakfast because they are bursting with soluble fibre, complete protein and omega-3 fatty acids.  Foods rich in fibre, protein and healthy fats keep us satiated and aid in blood sugar balance.  A nourishing breakfast that leaves us fuller for longer may reduce those cravings for sugar-filled nasties and quick fixes like coffee and energy drinks.
